In late summer 2023, I went on the road for Insider to investigate the whereabouts of a few individuals who are involved in a web of shell companies responsible for the takeover, and bankruptcy of one of the countries’ largest private prison healthcare providers. Corizon Health Inc. was subject to some 475 active lawsuits over the past decade plus, including alleged correctional medical negligence at county jails and prisons across the country, a web of unpaid invoices, legal fees, and other employment law allegations. Now, all of these cases have been stayed, as Corizon used a controversial legal maneuver to file for bankruptcy, after restructuring its assets and liabilities into two separate entities.

While both companies, YesCare and Perigrove share a space at the same 7 World Trade Center address, the latter, has its office listed in Rockland County, about an hour away from the city, above an auto parts store, as seen by the taped sign on the front door.
